Objective To observe the mRNA expression of L-calcium channel of the myocardial cells influenced by high glucose circumstance, the myocardial cells of neonate rats were cultured with high glucose. Methods Nutrient solution with high glucose was applied for the cultivation of the myocardial cells of the offsprings. In addition the level of mRNA expression was detected by means of RT-PCR. Results The quantity of mRNA in the high glucose group was significantly higher compared to the low glucose group （ P 〈 0.05）. Conclusion High glucose circumstance could significantly induce the mRNA expression of L-calcium channel in myocardial cells of neonate rats.
