通过对多元关系的超图可视化方法进行分析,基于骨生物数据之间的多元关系,在可视化工具Prefuse的基础上构建了超图可视化系统PubMedVis.该系统将多元关系具象化为节点,对异构后的节点数据进行整体力引导,将节点分散到整个布局平面上减少交叉重叠,并通过拖拽、缩放、聚类等交互操作降低布局的视觉复杂度.实验结果证明,PubMedVis系统能帮助系统的用户——骨生物专家更好地挖掘骨生物数据之间的直接关系和潜在关系.
Based on visualization methods using hypergraphs to investigate the multivariate relations,we proposed PubMedVis,a Prefuse based hypergraph visualization system.PubMedVis explores the multivariate relations in a bone dataset and helps osteologists explore both direct relations in the dataset and reveal potential relations between entities as well.By representing multivariate relations as nodes,PubMedVis adopts the popular global space-filling force-directed layout to the heterogeneous node data and successfully decreased visual clutters.To further support user interactions,PubMedVis provides to user the ability of dragging,zooming in,zooming out and aggregating.Our preliminary case studies showed that PubMedVis can help osteologists explore the relations and assist them in discovering potential relations.
