Sustainable development of coastal tidal fiat is a focus of the government and the society. Through the analysis of the development mode of traditional agriculture of tidal fiat in Yancheng City, this paper summed up the need for the development of saline agriculture of tidal fiat. According to the current development situation of saline agriculture in Yancheng City, SWOT analysis method was used to get the strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats of saline agriculture, and then countermeasures and suggestions for the future development of saline agriculture in Yancheng was put forward.
