The artical uses DEA model to evalute the efficiency of 30 international airports in China,and optimize the efficiency of the invalid airports from the inputs and outputs.The empirical results have found that the operation of the airports is stable,but most of the airports are at the ineffective production frontier surface.The reasons that lead to the inefficient operations include purely technical factors and size factors.The former is the main reason for the eastern airports and the latter is for the central and western airports.The article also puts forward suggestions to improve the efficiency of different types of airports.
