Green building is an inevitable trend for the development of architecture. Three types of green building assessment system respectively formulated by Britain, America and multilateral organizations have been herein selected and studied contrastively. Based on analysing and summarizing characteristics of each of those assessment systems, several constructive suggestions for promoting the green building and its assessment in China were given.
