The residents in Shuozhou mine area,Shanxi province were selected as the research object,and 878 questionnaires were analyzed. It demonstrated that halo effect on environmental perception in spatial scales is objective. That is to say the residents＇ overall environmental perception relies on transfer of the halo effect of his local environmental perception. The main factors influencing the overall environmental perception were the duration of residence,age and household income. Therefore,choosing a reasonable spatial scale is very important to study the environmental perception.
