One of the important grammatical categories of verbs in the Uyghur language, aspect has time reference functions. What aspect signifies is the ＂process＂ of event development without concerning the time of occurrence., and indicates the internal temporal constituency of the event or state. This paper presents the time reference functions of aspect, and analyzes the relationship between time and aspect and their differences in terms of syntactic distribution and functions.
