盐渍土地区土木工程的实施是国家经济进一步发展对特殊地域条件下基础设施建设的具体要求。盐渍土盐胀对修筑在盐渍土地区的许多建造物（如铁路、公路、水利设施、房屋建筑等）造成了危害。本文围绕国内外学者对盐渍土盐胀的研究成果，综述了盐渍土盐胀特性及其机理的研究进展，并对盐渍土水、盐、热的数学运移模型进行了概述。为了更充分地认识盐渍土盐胀规律，文章最后就盐渍土盐胀研究中亟待完善的问题进行了展望，提出了建立盐渍土水、盐、热、力四场耦合模型的建议。

salt expansion is a problem to the construction of railroad, highway, water conservancy and buildings. This paper summarizes the progress of the study on salt expansion characteristics and mechanism in saline soil and it also summarizes numerical models for water, heat and salt movement.
