提出了一种利用高非线性光子晶体光纤(PCF)来稳定主动锁模光纤激光器的方法,理论分析了激光器中PCF的非线性偏振旋转效应(NPR),阐明了激光器稳定的短脉冲输出机理,获得了重复率为5GHz、脉宽为44ps的稳定短脉冲输出。本文建议的激光器能用于如光码分多址(OCDMA)通信系统等诸多领域。
Actively mode-locked fiber lasers that are stabilized with a highly nonlinear photonic crystal fiber are proposed. The nonlinear polarization rotation effect of the photonic crystal fiber is theoretically analyzed, and the stabilization mechanism of short pulse lasing is explained. Stable pulse output with a pulse width of about 44 ps and a repetition rate of 5 GHz is a thieved experimentally. The proposed stable fiber laser can be used in an OCDMA system.
