OBJECTIVE： To optimize the extraction technology of polysaccharide from Panax japonicus. METHODS： The extraction technology of polysaccharide from P. japonicus was optimized by orthogonal test with amount of solvent, extraction time and extraction times as factors and with the content of polysaccharide as index. RESULTS： The optimal condition of extraction technology： 10-folds solvent, extraction time of 2.0 h, extraction times of 3 times. CONCLUSION： The extraction technology is stable and practical with high extraction rate.
