随着社会和科技的发展,社会对英语写作能力提出了更高的要求。目前的大学英语教学还是基础英语教学,主要以语言文字教学为主,听说读写译为其主要教学目标;其写作要求主要是为满足大学英语四、六级作文的写作目标。大学英语教学与专业英语教学之间存在着严重的衔接问题。专业英语教学对学生的写作能力要求很高,需要提高学生的英语学术写作能力,而这种写作是与自己的专业紧密相关的写作模式;在英语教学中学术用途英语(English for Academic Purposes,简称EAP)是从大学英语过渡到专门用途英语(English for Specific Purposes,简称ESP)的一种英语模式,可以帮助衔接大学英语和专业英语。本文主要探讨在ESP视角下的理工英语学术写作能力的培养及提高,以更好地帮助学生满足社会需求,服务社会。
With the development of science and technology, people are expected to have higher ability of English writing. Currently college English teaching still focuses on the improvement of the basic knowledge, that is, the so-called five skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation. The objectives of writing are to write for the National English Test band 4 and band 6. In order to connect college English teaching with specialized English teaching, we need to improve the students' English academic writing ability. The paper mainly discusses the effective measures to improve and cultivate the students' ability to write, to serve our society better.
