Dendritic polyamide-amine becomes one of the focused polymer materials with its unique physical and chemical properties.The synthetic and modifying methods of PAMAM with amino, hydroxyl and carboxyl group are reviewed,such as end-capping modification,surface graft modification,blending and crosslinking.The application in leather,papermaking,fabric dyeing and finishing are described and the development of dendritic PAMAM is presented.The preparation of dendritic PAMAM with completely controllable molecular size combined with nanotechnology should be the main focus in the development of dendritic polyamide-amine.
