Micro/nano Ag2S was synthesized via a convenient hydrothermal route at relatively low temperature, with sulfur - containing materials and silver foil as reactants. Interestingly, micro/nano Ag2 S tubes cound be obtained when the Ag foil reacted with S powder in a ethanol system/solvent. Several techniques including X - ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to characterize the products.
