Based on the DTS theory, this study puts forward the theoretical framework of descrip- tive translation criticism and compiles a bilingual domain ontology of the translation of Laotse （Dao De Jing）so as to combine the qualitative and quantitative approaches and render the criticism more scientific and objective.
