超声频脉冲等离子弧切割电极烧蚀特性研究

提出了一种有效提高等离子弧切割电极寿命的超声频脉冲电弧方法,并通过电极烧蚀试验,分析了脉冲燃弧条件对电极烧蚀量和烧蚀形貌的影响,探讨了电极烧损机理.试验结果表明:超声频脉冲电流频率适当增大时,电弧阴极区明显收缩,电极烧蚀范围和烧蚀深度减小,电极使用寿命显著提高,且采用较低的脉冲电流时,能够获得更好的抗电极烧蚀效果.

英文摘要:

The present work presents an ultrasonic-frequency pulsed arc approach to improving effectively the service life of plasma arc cutting electrode.By a number of electrode burning experiments,the effects of pulsed arcing conditions on electrode weight loss and erosion morphology were then investigated,and also the mechanism of hafnium electrode erosion was analyzed.Experimental results show that the cathode zone of the arc shrinks obviously,the erosion scope and depth decrease on the electrode,and thus the life of the electrode is remarkably improved with appropriately increasing the frequency of the pulsed current.Furthermore,the better results of electrode erosion resistance can be obtained at lower pulsed currents.
