心血管疾病在临床上是一种非常普遍的疾病。西红花是鸢尾科多年生草本植物番红花的干燥柱头,具有解郁安神、活血化瘀、凉血解毒的功效,可用于产后瘀阻、经闭症瘕、温毒发斑、忧郁痞闷、惊悸发狂等症。目前,也常用于治疗心脑血管疾病。现代药理学研究发现,西红花中的西红花甙与西红花酸对治疗心血管疾病有明显作用。本文系统总结了西红花的化学成分和药理活性,为其深度开发提供参考。
英文摘要：
Cardiovascular diseases are common public health issues. The dried stigma of the plant saffron is used in folk medicine for various purposes. Several lines of evidences suggest that croein and crocetin are implicated in cardiovascular system. These emerging molecules for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases were studied. Current analysis showed that saffron and its components might be a promising class of compounds for the treatment of the above mentioned cardiovascular diseases.
