Oscillographic analysis shows that the chirp rhythm of Oecanthus rufescens is highly regular; whole chirp sequence includes 11 chirps. A chirp of the songs, lasting about 0. 230 s,consists of 13-17 pulses. Interchirp interval is about 0. 330 s, chirp repetition rate is about 0.64/s. One pulse of the chirps continues about 0. 008-0. 012 s. Pulse interval is about 0. 004 s, pulse repetition rate is about 23/s. It has a main frequency within the range 2.2 to 4.4 kHz, and the peak carrier frequency is about 3.3 kHz.
