Wu Jian received the Ph.D. degree in physical electronics from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1999. From 1999 to 2001, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Optical Communication Center, Beijing University of Posts and Tele- communications (BUPT), Beijing, China, where he worked in the area of high-speed optical networks and all-optical signal processing. Currently, he is a Professor at the Key Laboratory of Information Photonics & Optical Communications, Ministry of Education, BUPT. His research interests include optical packet/burst switching networks, network architecture and simulation, all-optical signal processing, high-speed optical transmission system, nonlinear fiber optics, and high-speed optoelectronics devices.
