新服务开发(NSD)是服务型企业创造收益的重要途径,它的模式是学术界关注的热点.现有研究从参与者、过程、过程绩效影响因素3个方面,对传统服务型企业主导的NSD模式进行了探讨,但是对于网络环境下由平台企业主导的、以开放式网络平台为依托的NSD模式关注不足.本文选取中国移动应用商场的NSD项目为研究对象,运用案例研究法进行探索,结论表明:作为平台生态圈的领导者,平台企业搭建了开放式网络平台,以此为基点通过5种机制撮合NSD项目的4类参与者互动,由此形成强大的内驱力,激发各参与者在NSD过程的6个阶段协同完成了17项任务,有效地推动了NSD项目的进程,实现了平台生态圈的可持续发展.本研究将NSD理论向网络环境下的平台企业和平台生态圈进行了拓展,为实业界依托开放式网络平台开展NSD活动提供了启示.
New service development (NSD) is an important approach to improve profitability for service enterprises, and its mode is a focused issue by academic circles. The exited literatures mainly capture the NSD mode dominated by traditional service enterprises from its participants, process and antecedents of process performance. Studies on the NSD mode dominated by platform enterprise and based on open network platform in network environment are lacking. It investigated this issue through an in-depth case study of the NSD projects based on China Mobile Market. The results indicate that: as the leader of platform ecosystem, platform enterprise constructs an open network platform; basing on the network platform and through five mechanisms, platform enterprise brings four types of participants together for in- teractions ; a powerful drive will emerge from the interactions and motivate the participants collaboratively finish 17 tasks in 6 stages in the NSD process, then, the process of NSD projects is effectively promoted and the sustainable development of platform ecosystem is realized. It expands NSD theories to platform enterprise and platform ecosystem in network environment, and also provides theoretical inspirations to business community for carrying out NSD activities in open network platform.
