City aggregation and multiple demands from people require park designs to change from traditional small scale, supply-based types to ecology-based designs. Developing urban ecological parks has become an important measure to satisfy the people＇s demand for natural recreation and desire to balance urban development and ecological protection. This paper presents the Huaguoshan Park （in east China＇s Anhui Province） plan in terms of plan principle, function district, planting plan and so on. It also discusses application and expression of ecological design concepts in the metropolitan park plans.
