The harmonic method is used to analyze tidal currents data observed in summer at eleven stations in the Bohai Sea. Then the results from different instruments and between different intervals are compared. By calculating the tidal current elliptic elements ＇based on harmonic constants, the vertical distribution of maximum speed, the rotating direction and characteristics of diurnal and semi-diurnal components are also discussed in this paper.
