Fuzhou City is taken as the targeted area,and the urban land expansion model is used for the dynamic analysis of Fuzhou City from 1999 to 2012. The result shows that urban land expansion quality is overall low after 2003,which means the increasing of urban development level,including economic increasing,urban construction and living standard,is slower than that of urban land expansion quality in Fuzhou City. The urban land expansion quality of Fuzhou City drops sharply once,while the city＇s economic increasing and urban construction make a positive response,which bottom the urban land expansion quality out and it is getting better after 2006. However,the rising of living standard is slow comparing to the rapid urban land expansion,and its slow growth ia a major problem.
