This paper presents the system composition for the CNC ships frame bender. The principles of the automatic marking-off are proposed and a pneumatic device for marking has been developed. The method for the real-time control of automatic marking-off has been analyzed and the formulae of calculation for the control parameters are deduced. The work presented in this paper has enhanced the intelligent level of the ships frame bender distinctly. The CNC ships frame bender with this automatic marking-off system has been developed successfully.
