本文以我国2010—2011年深市上市公司为研究对象,研究了媒体报道对公司透明度提高的影响。研究结果发现,媒体负面报道和非负面报道都能促进公司透明度提高,但媒体负面报道对公司透明度提高的影响更大;在我国东部地区,媒体报道能促进公司透明度提高,对西部地区上市公司的透明度提高影响较小;在国有上市公司里,媒体报道能促进公司透明度提高,但对非国有上市公司的透明度提高影响较小。
With samples of China's companies listed in Shenzhen in the period of 2010 -2011, this paper studies the in- fluence of media coverage on the improvement of corporate transparency. The results show that, negative and non-negative media coverage will both help promote corporate transparency, but the negative coverage has a larger influence. Further study shows that the influence of media coverage on corporate transparency is larger in eastern China, while it is smaller in western China; media coverage will lead to the increase in corporate transparency with state-owned listed companies, while the influ- ence is smaller with non-state-owned listed companies.
