Aiming at the low resolution of traditional DOA estimation methods and the inability for existing Mul- tiple Signal Classification （MUSIC） algorithm to apply to TD-SCDMA system, this paper makes a study of DOA esti- mation method based on MUSIC algorithm in TD-SCDMA system. With the Uniform Circular Array （UCA） model of TD-SCDMA system preprocessed, the basic MUSIC algorithm and root-MUSIC algorithm of DOA estimation are de- rived for TD-SCDMA system. The factors affecting the resolution of DOA estimation are also analyzed. Simulation results and analysis shows that the root-MUSIC algorithm has a higher resolution than the basic MUSIC algorithm.
