Highly ordered array of nickel inversed spherical cavity was prepared using polystylene nanoparticles as a template. It was demonstrated that the Raman scattering of 4 - aminothiophenol adsorbed on the array can be greatly enhanced. The surface enhancement of Raman scattering is ascribed to the enhancements of the electric field in the cavity by the coupling of the surface plasmon resonance and light and electromagnetic energy aensity due to the focusing effect of the cavity structure.
