Hydrogen sulfide （H2S） has been recognized as a physiological mediator with a variety of bi-ological functions. It is produced by three enzymes,cytathiohineβ-synthase （CBS）,cytathiohineγ-lyase （CSE） and 3-mercaptopyruvate sulfurtransferase （3MST） along with cysteine aminotransferase.The mech-anism of release and production, vasorelaxant effect, antioxidative stress and anti-inflammatory response of H2S were reviewed in the article.
