It is an important part of the soliton theory to find the exact solutions of soliton equations. The BKP equation with variable coefficients is extended. The Backlund transformation of the equation is obtained by using the bilinear method. The Gramm-type Pfaffian solutions of the BKP equations with variable coefficients and modified variable coefficients are derived, respectively. The method is simple and easy to operate.
