The strain hardening behavior of thin metal sheet during plastic deformation was elaborated.The method of determining the elastic-plastic constitutive model based on the incremental plastic theory was summarized.Emphasize was put on the theoretical origin and application field of the classic kinematic hardening models,such as Prager-Ziegler's model,Mroz's model,Armstrong-Frederick's model,Chaboche's model,Geng-Wagoner's model,Yoshida-Umemori's model and Teodosiu-Hu's model,which provide references for the further studies.
