Nickel plating coating was prepared on titanium alloy Ti6A14V surface, and the hardness, bonding strength and friction and wear characteristics of the coating were studied. The results show that the surface hardness for nickel plating coating was 527 HV0. 1, and the bonding strength between nickel plating coating and titanium alloy was 232 MPa. Under the same dry friction conditions, the wear'loss of nickel plating coating was only 1/47 of that of titanium alloy, and under seawater lubricating conditions, the wear loss of nickel plating coating was only 1/42 of that of titanium alloy. Under the same abrasive wear conditions, the wear loss of nickel plating layer was 18. 70% of that of titanium alloy.
