A deterministic inventory model for single warehouse with discrete demands was discussed. Then it was extended into a deterministic distributed inventory one with discrete demands. After that, this distributed inventory model was developed to adapt itself to stochastic and discrete demands. With this model, an optimization performance index was built up so that a reasonable solution could be easily obtained. Finally, an application example was provided and solved with genetic algorithm to demonstrate the analysis procedure.
