Automated Essay Scoring systems have provided a brand-new platform for the innovation of teaching mode of English writing. This paper attempts to explore the design and operation of teaching mode of English writing based on automated essay scoring systems. The new mode involves four phases： pre-writing, writing and peer assessment; revision and automated essay scoring; and evaluating. Through the twoterm study, the paper reports the result that the new mode stimulates the students＇ motivation, cultivates their writing autonomy, and improves their writing ability.
