It demonstrates a circuit of the multichannel pulse height analyzer used for the energetic particle detection in space--based instruments. The analyzer digitizes the input signal by an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), then adopts a look--up table to discriminate the energy range of the incident particles. A 80C31 data process unit counts the discrimination pulses and delivers the data to the external device. The circuit performs energy discrimination precisely. It is highly reliable and convenient to calibrate.
