We study the relation between energy and entanglement in an entanglement transfer problem in the two-mode cavity QED. The model consists of two two-level atoms which are initially prepared in a Bell-like state and locally coupled with the two-mode cavity. We show that the atomic entanglement dynamics is closely related to that of their energy. Moreover, we also discuss the influence on the relation by means of considering the dipole-dipole interaction between atoms and the photon numbers in the two- mode cavity field.
