The use of heterogeneous rare earth organometallic catalysts for organic synthesis has attracted much attention recently since they possess the enhanced stability and reusability. In this review, we mainly present the latest developments in the design and synthesis of heterogeneous rare earth triflate catalysts and heterogeneous rare earth amide catalysts and their applications in fine organic synthesis. Also,we discuss the outlook for the design and synthesis of rare earth organometallic catalysts.
