武汉大学电离层实验室研制的短波电离层探测系统是一部单站雷达,发射长编码调相脉冲串信号获得高脉冲压缩增益,并在脉冲间隔期间接收回波.在系统中加入了高精度频率源和GPS接收机,以实现系统间的频率和时间同步.单台系统可用于单站斜向返回探测和垂直入射探测,两台系统配合工作可实现双站斜向返回探测和斜入射探测.经多次实验得到了高质量的单站和双站斜返电离图、斜测电离图和垂测电离图.
The high frequency ionospheric sounding system developed by the Ionospheric Laboratory of Wuhan University is a monostatic radio system, transmitting long coded pulse train for the high pulse com- pressing gain and receiving the echoes during the interpulse period. The frequency standard with high accuracy and the GPS receiver are installed in the system for the frequency and time synchronization. Now the monostatie system can be used for the monostatic oblique backscatter detection and the vertical-inci- dence detection;two systems can be used for the bistatic oblique backscatter detection and the oblique-inci- dence detection. The monostatie and bistatic oblique backscatter ionogram, oblique ionogram and vertical ionogram with high quality were well recorded in several experiments.
