Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry and circular dichroism were used to investigate the factors which affect the motif of the human telomeric quadruplex,such as pH and cations.ESI-MS and CD spectra indicated that pH could induce both the conformational transition and the dissociation of the quadruplex.Moreover,K^+ and NH4^+ cations play an important role in the formation of the quadruplex.
