The research and application of foundry used sand reclamation and reuse technology in last 5 years have been summarized. The research of the reclamation and reuse technology of the foundry old sand of varieties with extensive use at present have been analyzed, resulting in that the necessary requirements for foundry industry in realization of green sustainability should be met by reclamation and reuse of the foundry old sand while the important trend of casting technological progress he in low cost and high efficient technology of reclamation and reuse.
