Objective： To establish the methods of culture and identification of fibroblast-like synoviocytes （FLS） in rats with adjuvant arthritis （AA） in vitro, and provide a base for further study. Methods： The synovial cells from AA rats were cultured with synovial tissue and identified by morphology and flow cytometer （FCM）. Results： The cultured synovial cells were in a fibrocyte-like form with long fusiform shape and grew in the same direction. The purity of VCAM-1 synoviocytes was over 94 % by FCM. Conclusion： The synovial cells from AA rats were successfully cultured and can be used as target cells for the succedent experimental research.
