为提高二氧化钛颗粒的分散性、改善其颜料特性并降低其用量,同时发挥绢云母矿物的协同作用,采用机械力化学方法(mechano—chemical method,MCM),通过绢云母颗粒表面包覆二氧化钛方式制备了“核-壳”结构绢云母/TiO2复合颗粒材料,采用SEM(scanning electron microscope)、EDS(energy dispersive spectrometer)、XPS(X—ray photoelectron spectroscopy)分析方法和颜料性能测试手段,对复合粉体的微观结构和颜料性能进行了测试与表征.所制备绢云母/TiO2复合粉体白度为84.3%,遮盖力18.68g/m^2,吸油量26.79g/100g,绢云母/TiO2复合颗粒以绢云母表面包覆均匀、稳定的二氧化钛颗粒为特征.研究表明:绢云母/TiO2复合粉体已具有与钛白相似的使用性能,作为白色颜料可在若干应用领域实现对钛白粉的替代.
In this paper, the sericite/TiO2 composite particle material with core-shell structure was prepared by meehano-chemical method. In this way, the dispersion of TiO2 particles can be enhanced, the pigment property can be improved and the dosage can be reduced. What is more, the synergistic effect of sericite can also be developed. SEM, EDS and XPS were used in order to characterize the morphology of the composite particle material. Differential pigmentary property measurements were also carried out. Analysis results show that the whiteness of sericite/ TiO: composite powder is 84.3% , hiding power is 18.68 g/m^2, and adsorption oil value is 26.79 g/100 g, respectively. In the sericite/ TiO2 composite particles, the surface of sericite is coated by uniform and stable TiO2 layer. It is demonstrated that the properties of sericite/ TiO2 composite powders are similar to that of TiO2. Hence, serieite/ TiO2 composite particle material can replace TiO2 as white pigment in many areas.
