Objective： To improve the macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos and Lonicerae Flos. Methods： Samples were collected from different producing locations and crude drug markets,the commercial situation was understood based on the investigation of the producing area and the market,and the macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos and Lonicerae Flos were identified. Results： The differences between Lonicerae Japonicae Flos and Lonicerae Flos of four origins were obvious in the morphology of original plants,and macroscopic and microscopic characteristics. Conclusion： Lonicerae Japonicae Flos and Lonicerae Flos can be authenticated by identification of macroscopic and microscopic characteristics.
