本文根据旋转线双折射光纤中偏振态演变的基本理论,提出一种通过对测量系统琼斯矩阵的奇异值分解,得到待测旋转光纤中偏振本征态椭圆度大小和稳定性的方法。对自制的旋转线双折射光纤的偏振特性进行了实验测量,实验结果与电流传感器的测量结果基本一致。本文提出的测量方法为研究旋转线双折射光纤的偏振性能提供了一种简便可行的途径,可用于提高旋转线双折射光纤的工艺水平和光纤电流传感器的稳定性。
According to the polarization evolution theory in spun linear birefringence fibers (SLBFs), a new method, which is based on the singular value decomposition of the measured Jones matrix, is presented to obtain the state of polarization (SOP) of the local eigeranedes in SLBFs. Experimental results obtained from self-made SLBFs are in agreement with the results obtained from fiber optic current sensors. The method provides a simple and feasible way to the polarization properties research of SLBFs and thus has application in the manufactory of SLBFs and development of fiber optic current sensors.
