The investigation on natural anticariogenics has become one of the highlights now. Chinese scholars have made great progresses in this aspect. They established oral ecosystem model to evaluate natural anticariogenics, studied the pharmacodynamics of effective constituents and their anticarious mechanisms, and standardized screening experimental methods. The review is to overview the progresses of natural anticariogenics.
