Bacillus species are one of important sources of probiotics preparation.The species exert beneficial effect on the health of animals gastrointestinal tract and the microecology balance.Many research interests are focused on the Bacillus probiotics for their advantage of alternative to antibiotics in feed.Spores of Bacillus were found that they could germinate and proliferate in vivo,and that their physiological activities,such as immunological enhancement,modulation of intestinal microflora and enzyme activities,could be released through spore germination.According to the newest research,the progress of the application and mechanism on Bacillus probiotics is reviewed in the paper.
