The DEM is applied to study the dynamics process of sand group. Based on the constitutive relations of the sand stack, contact parameters are determined according to the theory of Hertz contact and the theory of incomplete elastic impact. The interactive force between the contacted sands is analyzed, and a dynamical DEM model of sand group is established.
