Automatic voltage control （AVC） has become the key means for voltage control and it＇s control effect is dependent on AVC strategy. The AVC strategy can force provincial and district power networks to coordinated control. The research status of secondary voltage control was summarized in this paper. And the essence of coordinated control was discussed. Some suggestions for AVC strategy of receiving-end network were recommended.
