A seaport is a high economic-conglomeration core belt in the world world economic system, to which many countries attach great importance. Firstly, seaport, this paper concludes the development rule of seaport in the world as three which plays an important role in the based on the analysis of the theory of phases. Secondly, it takes Rotterdam port, Yokohama port and Auckland port as cases, and summarizes their successful development experiences and accomplishments. Finally, it proposes some enlightenment to Chinese seaports in terms of the construction of seaport infrastructure and industrial structure, the internationalization of world trade, sea transportation and near port industry, the harmonization between a seaport and its surrounding regions, and the harmonization between economic development and environmental protection.
