RFID technology could identify high-speed moving object, including multiple labels simultanneously, and easy in operation, is applied in various fields. The application of RFID tag in the VeriMed medical care system has caused the concern about patients＇ privacies. This paper proposes a new authentication protocol using double bash functions and random number rotation scheme, which is suitable for the VeriMed system. And the security and availability analysis of this protocol is also presented.
