According to the main problems existing in the soling by different companies or departments of flower seedling industry,a flower seedlings management information system based on MapObjects,ArcGIS technology and VB language was constructed taking nationalized seedling gardens in Changsha as example.The construction of the system realized production management,basic information management,interactive investigation of graphics attribute,statistics management and dynamic information publishing through internet,among which production management included a series of work such as seeds selection,breeding,disease control,irrigation,fertilization,online ordering,customer services and so on.The application of this system had greatly enhanced the efficiency of the nursery managers,facilitated the decision-makers to grasp the information of the nursery from macro view,and promoted the modernization of flower seedlings information management.
