The observation result of pollen morphology of Rhodiola sachalinensis A. Bor under SEM showed that the pollen shape and size of R. sachalinensis from Daxing＇an Mountain and Changbai Mountain are similar. The ektexine ornamentations of pollens arrange irregularly, and large clearance exists among the ektexine ornamentations, but no holes were found. The degrees of bifurcation and crossover of ektexine ornamentations on the pollen surface of the two sources of R. sachalinensis are different, and pollens came from Changbai Mountain are more complicated compared with those came from Daxing＇ an Mountain. The differences in microscopic morphology of pollen surface provide a new evidence for identifying R. sachalinensis.
